Chapter 6
"Ehhhhh?! He did THAT to you?" Minami exclaimed to Salali in the class the next day. Some people turned their attention to the two, which made Salali grab Minami and go straight to the girl's restroom. "Don't make a scene in the classroom! Rumors may start." Salali told her as she pinned her against the wall with a red face. "Gomen. Gomen. Can you let me down now?" Minami asked and Salali loosened her grip and went to sit in a corner. Minami saw this and walked over to her, sitting down right beside Salali. "If it makes you feel any better, I can get Ren to kick his ass for ya. He's a knight in shining armor." She told her with a sigh. 'Now that I think about it, Akimoto has always been distant around me. When ever we talked, there was always a group around us and it seem like he was more interested in others more than me. I was probably a bit dumb to see that he had no interest in me. Baka. But, it's probably best to stick around my friends, especially Minami. She's so cute and ditzy.' She thought and giggled a bit. Minami looked at her with a pouting face. "Why are you laughing?" "It's nothing. Hey, can we get out of here? It kinda smells in here." "You the one who brought me he- hey, I don't remember those in a girl's bathroom." She said, pointing to a urinal. Suddenly, a toilet flushed in one of the stalls and a boy with earphones walk out. He notices the girls and immediately pull off his earbuds. "What are you two doing in the Boy's Restroom?" He asked. In an instant, both Minami and Salali turned bright red and ran out of there.
~Namine's Cafe~
The bell rang for lunch and Minami comes over to Salali's desk. "Let's go to lunch together. I just bought these cool books yestarday and I wanna-" "Sorry. Can't today." Salali interrupted. Minami then went from happy, to curious, to irritated, then to shocked. "HUH?!" She yelled. "Hey. Don't yell. Sorry, but I'll be eating lunch with the guy from yesterday." "Huh? But I thought Aki- oooooh. You're talking about Soujiro-kun, eh? If that's the case, I'm fine with it." "Wait, you are?" "Yeah...but you own me a favor." Minami said, putting up a finger a winking. "Sure. Later, Minami." Salali said as she grabbed something under her desk and went to lunch. "Huh...a cake? Weird." Minami said as she went to lunch as well.
Outside, it was a bit windy as Salali made it to the tree. Gladly, Soujiro was there with a few bandages on his arm and an eyepatch on his left eye. He looked over, saw the cake, and smiled. "And I was thinking you would have not took it seriously." He told her. "You seem like a serious guy, so I took your request as serious. Plus, it's a 'thank you' for helping me out yesterday as well as a 'sorry' for getting you mixed up in this." Salali said as she pushed the box containing the cake over to him. "It's no problem really." He replied as he took the box and opened it. "Wow. This looks great." He said, then grabbed the fork that was attached to the box and took a bite. "It tastes good too. Did you make this?" "Yeah, but I could have done better with it." Salali said, turning red and playing with her hair. "Better? This is pretty good already...but, you went home late yesterday. Did you..." "I baked it last night, slept til morning, it was cool when I woke up, and I put it together and put the icing on it before I left the house this morning. Don't worry, I didn't stay up all night if that's what you were thinking." She laughed, then started eating the food she bought for herself.
Midway during Lunch, Salali looked up at the tree. Compared to 3 weeks ago, the family of leaves have grown into a community. Each leave had their own branch and everything seemed at peace. It was windy, but each leave stayed up and didn't stray from the rest. "You know, there's always a deeper meaning to something that looks simple, like this tree growing back it's leaves." Soujiro said as he leaned against the tree. Salali thought about it for a minute before saying, "If that's true, what does this tree represent?" "It could represent three things: Coming of Age, The Beginning to Summer, or The Beginning of a Friendship." "What about love?" Salali blurted out. "...that would be a Sakura Tree. This is just a regular tree with green leaves...but, surprisingly, this did use to be a Sakura Tree, but one year, it just started growing green leaves. No one knows why or how, but they just went with it. I looked it up in the alumini of this school." Soujiro said, looking up at the tree. 'I didn't know trees could do something like that...' Salali thought, then she heard the bell ring for them to go back to class. '
Maybe I should give him a hug for helping me yesterday.' "Thanks for the cake, Salali-chan. I'll be on my way." Soujiro said as he stood up. Salali got up as well and went over to him for a hug, but didn't see the cake box before she stepped on it, causing her to slip onto him, making them fall to thew ground with Salali on top of them. Once they opened their eyes and looked at each other, a gust of wind blowed on the tree, making it sing in the wind above the two. Salali was the first to get off and turn away from him, blushing. "I'm sorry. I didn't see the box, and I slipped, then I knocked you do-" "It's alright, Salali-chan." Soujiro interupted her and got up, grabbing his bag. "Later." He said, walking off. Salali just stood there...blushing. 'Why do I all of a sudden...want to have lunch with him more...?'

Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Salali sat in the infirmary, looking over the guy that saved her not only an hour ago. Luckily, the nurse was still in the school, so she was able to get him some bandaged, an ice pack, and an eye-patch. 'Soujiro-kun...we barely ever talk at all. When there's days when Minami is out sick and I have no one to have lunch with, I'd sit with him and try to strike up a conversation, but it always fell through...except for that one time...'
"Ehhh? Chicken Pox? Isn't that something you're suppose to catch when you're younger?" Salali texted Minami and recieved a reply a few minutes later, saying, "How was I suppose to know? I didn't know what they were til this morning when I felt itchy all over. ;-;" "Well, now I don't have anyone to talk to at lunch...except..." "Soujiro? Salaliii! You should probably date him since he is a bit cute." "As if. I've already have my sights on someone else...but, I might as well eat with him at lunch." After Salali stopped texting, the bell rang for her to go to lunch and she headed to the cafeteria. After getting her food, she goes outside to the courtyard where Soujiro always sat, by himself under the tree in the center of the place. Salali sat near the tree, facing left as Soujiro faced right. 'What to say...what to say?' She thought. "So, I've heard alot of gossip about one of our classmates getting pregnant. That's a bit scary for people our age, huh?" She asked, but Soujiro stayed quiet and ate the beef bowl he had with his chopsticks. "Hehehe..." Salali laughed awkwardly. "Then, there's this rumor that a guy from another class is gonna ask one of our girls to the upcoming dance in 2 months. I wonder if someone may ask you or so-" "I don't care for rumors, or gossip, or any of that shit. I'm not a girl." Soujiro said in a cold manner, which made Salali freeze up. "Have you ever thought about stepping away from the boring high school dramas and just taking a look at the small things in life that people overlook, like nice it is today and how the breeze is not too strong, not too light, but just right? Nature is much better than this dreadful high school crap." He tells her.
Salali was a bit confused, but as she thought about what he said, she actually agreed with him and looked around at the grass moving to the flow of the wind. Since nobody else was out there at the time, all she heard was the sound of the leaves above her whistling in the wind. They were just starting to grow back from the previous winter, so there wasn't a flock of leaves, but more of a family of the little green ones, hugging the branches near the top of the tree. "You're right. It is nice out here and it's quite beautiful. Thanks for telling me, Soujiro-kun." Salali said in almost a whisper, but Soujiro heard her and smiled a bit. "I wasn't telling you...I was reminding you. You knew already...you just needed someone to open the world back up to you." He tells her, making her blush a bit. 'He's poetic...' She thought as the bell rang. For the rest of the day, during her classes, she stared out the window and watched that same tree, remembering his words. 'Open the world?'
End of Flashback...
As Salali was deep in thought, her arm was touched by an awakened Soujiro. "Hey. Are you alright?" He asked. "That's my line. You're the one in bed with bandages." Salali replied as Soujiro sat up. The nurse came in and instructed that Soujiro should stay for the night and for Salali to go home. "I'll call his parents to let them know." The nurse tells Salali. "Alright. Get well soon, Soujiro." Salali told him as she was leaving. "Wait, Salali, could you do me a favor?" "Yes?" "...can you make me another one of those delicious cakes?"

Chapter 4 (New Arc)
Chapter 4
Salali stood in her family kitchen on Feburary 13th. The chocolate batter that she was making smoothly went into the cake pan as she looked at the time: 6 pm. She already knew that she was gonna be up all night doing her homework for class tomorrow, but what she doing was very important to her. 'I'm sure he'll love it. He just has to!' She thought, holding up a fist as a way to hope for the best. She put the batter-filled pan into the stove and set it to it's appropriate temperature to bake it up nice and tasty. As she waited for it to be done, she pulled out her phone and called her friend Minami.
"Hey, Salaliiii!" Minami exclaimed through the phone.
"Hey, Minami. Are you ready for tomorrow?" "Yeah! I made some M&M cookies for Ren. He's gonna love it...and me, someday." She said with a dreamy sigh. Salali giggled at her, making Minami become frustrated a bit. "Yeah. Keep laughing...but, we were made for each other. Anyway, what are you doing for Akimoto?" Minami said with a giggle. "Well, I was thinking about making a chocolate cake with strawberries and cream on it." "Ehhhh?! That's way better than mine." "Hahaha! Well, I've always been known to do stuff better than you anyway." "Huh?! That's not true! Name one time when you've done something better than me." "Well, there was the time we decided to braid each other's hair when we were 12. I made you look so cool...but, you made my hair look like the hair on some black guy." "Sorry! I just watched an american movie the night before with this actor named Ice Cube in it. It's Ren's fault for liking imported movies!" Minami exclaimed.
"Oh-hoho. You blaming your prince charming for your mistakes? That's a new low." "Ehhhhhh?!" "Kidding. Kidding." Salali jokingly said, then looked over to the cake, which was done. "Gotta take the cake out. See you tomorrow." "Okay." Minami sighed with a sad expression before hanging up. Salali put on her mittens and took the cake out of the stove before putting on the counter. After 10 minutes of decorating it and making to carefully place it inside a nice, pink box for it, she had her cake for Akimoto done in no time flat. "Now, let's just hope he'll li- hell, who am I kidding? He'll love it." She said with overconfidence as she put it in a cabinet and went to do her homework before bed.
The next day, she got the cake and headed off to school without eating her breakfast. The school was 2 miles away, so it wasn't that long of a walk from her house to the entrance. She put the cake in her shoe locker, making sure it was secure. After doing so, she headed off to class where she bumps into Akimoto on the way through the door. Her face turned red and her eyes looked away. "S-Sorry about that." "No problem, Salali." Akimoto replied, then turned to walk down the hall until Salali grabbed his sleeve. "Hey. Can you meet me afterschool today on the rooftop? It's very important." She whispered nervously. Akimoto smiled and looked at her. "Alright. I'll be there. You don't mind if I'm a little late due to the council meeting, are you?" He asked before Salali nodded and released his sleeve. He made his way down the hallway as Salali made her way into the classroom, still hoping that everything goes as she planned.
-Namine's Cafe-
It was an 2 hours after school had ended and Salali just sat on a bench on the roof, looking down at the pink box in her hand. She was terribly nervous, waiting for Akimoto to walk through the door with that smile he always had on his face. Though, she was certain that the meetings usually went on for a good 30 minutes, but she stayed, wait for her crush to arrive. Just as was thinking something may have happened to him, Akimoto came through the door...with a few other people. She was confused on why some other people were with Akimoto, but Salali stood up anyway and went towards him. A girl besides Akimoto put a hand up before Salali got close enough to Akimoto. "That's far enough. Just do what you came here to do." She said with a smirk, prompting Salili to look at Akimoto. "Who are these people?" She asked, then one of the guys in the group smirked. "Come on, Akimoto. Just end this already so we don't miss the movie." He said, then Akimoto looked at Salali with a disgusted face. "What is it we got here? A cake of some sort?" He said, opening the top to reveal the chocolate cake with strawberries on it. "This...looks gross. Like, it looks like it may make me vomit. You made this crud for me, Salali?" He said, then slapped the box to the ground, making the cream on the cake splat up into Salali's teary-eyed face.
"Sorry to bust your bubble, little miss, but I'm taken...and even if I wasn't, I would never want to date a waste of space like you ever in my life." Akimoto said, making Salali fall to her knees and start crying. "Ugh. How annoying. Hey, Aki, can I through her around?" The girl from before asked with a smirk. Akimoto nodded and the girl grabbed Salali by the hair, making her scream very loud. Just as something was about to happen, the door to the rooftop opened and a boy came running at Akimoto before punching him straight in the face and throwing the girl attacking Salali to the side. "Don't hurt her!" He yelled as he was then swarmed by the rest of the group, which kicked his ass. After 5 minutes of beating up the guy, the group decided to leave, Akimoto and the girl included. The boy crawled over to the bench and rested against it. Salali, worried about the mystery boy, walked up to him and knelled by his side. "Are you ok, guy?" She muttered, still in tears. The guy raised his hand and pointed at the pink box that still contains cake in it. "Bring that over here." He whispered. Salali did as told and brought the cake to him, to which he grabbed a hand full and put some in his mouth. After eating the portion that he grabbed out of the box, he looked up at Salali. "It...very good." He said with a weak smile before passing out. She got scared and was about to go ask for help, but she didn't know the boy's name. After looking at his face for a minute, she remembered his name and her eyes grew wide as she realized that it was the guy from her class.

Chapter 3 1/2
Chapter 3 1/2
Minami finally got the park, almost out of breath, and looked around for Ren. The air was cold in the October wind, so she sat on a bench and covered herself in the jacket she brought. She looked at her watch and noticed that she was 4 minutes early. "Well, that explains alot." She muttered to herself as she waited. after 3 minutes, she was shivering and needed something more warm than the jacket. As she was about to get up and run home to grab a blanket, a big coat was wrapped around her by a certain someone behind her. She looked back and blushed when she saw Ren with a smile on his face.
"Hey, Minami." Ren whispered to her. Minami was frozen in place, not by the cold weather, but the heated atmosphere between the two. Ren looked down to Minami's hands to see the card and rose in her hand. He grabbed the hand with the rose in it and held it between both of his hands with the rose in between the two. "Minami...you remember when we first met, right?" Ren asked her. Of course she remembered that day. Minami's parents moved to Tokyo when she was 7 and she went to the school there. She was crying in a corner on her first day because she didn't want to be there, but Ren came up to her with a little daisy flower in his hand. He gave it to her and said to her, "Hi, I'm Ren. I hope we can be friends." with a smile.
"Yes, I remember that day. You made me so happy by being the first friend I had here." Minami recalled, looking at the ground with a smile. "I do as well. It was the first day that we became friends. Since then, we've been the best of friends. We're always there for each other and relied on one another. I've always enjoyed my time with you, Minami." Ren admitted. "Wha-What are you saying?" Minami questioned. Her heart was racing from each word that came from his mouth, wanting him to say the words that she's been longing for since a such a time ago. "I'm saying that I've decided that I want to keep hanging out with you...forever. Minami, I love you." Ren bluntly said, looking into her eyes.
This was it. The moment that Minami has been waiting for. She's wanted for him to say those three words since the day she fell for him. Finally, it was possible for her and Ren to be together...but...
"Sorry, but I'm not ready for this yet."
"Eh?"
Minami hated having to turn down Ren's proclamation of love for her, but she thought about it on her way to the park. She's never been in a relationship before and she felt like she wasn't quite ready to be with Ren yet. "I love you too, but we're still young. We're still teenagers in our Sophomore year of high school. I want us to be together...but I don't want to rush into it. But...I still want you to be my first boyfriend nonetheless. So, for the time being, let's remain friends, but let's hang out more and try to make our friendship even stronger before we think about going up from that. Are you ok with that?" Minami explained to Ren, hoping he was on the same page she was on. Ren gladly smiled and hugged Minami. "I'm fine with it. Just don't run off with some other guy, alright." "Of course I won't. I'm yours."

I'm yours."

Chapter 3
Chapter 3
The movie eventually ends and everyone exits the theater. Minami and Ren go through one of the side doors on the left and end up on the sidewalk in the mist of the afternoon. Minami was a bit sad, seeing as she missed most of the movie while he mind was elsewhere. 'Now I'm gonna have to come see it again to actually enjoy it. Or, at least, wait til I get it on Blu-ray in a couple of months.' She thought, then looked at the box with an irritated face. 'Stupid bag. How can a non-living object make me so detracted?! Maybe I'm just getting too obsessed with what could possibly be in it, since Rin won't tell me yet.' She contemplated, then looked a Ren, who was looking on his phone.
Minami still wondered how Ren could have known that she wanted to see this movie, especially when she never told him. Mostly when they're around each other, there's usually other people with them and Ren and Minami would barely get any time to talk. When they're alone, thought, they just usually talk about the past and some stuff that is going on in school. Minami never really talks about anime to him, since Ren isn't that big of a fan of it, so the fact that he wanted to see this on his own accord is least to impossible.
"Hey, Ren. How'd you know that I've wanted to see this movie?" Minami asked, not really knowing a roundabout way to ask him why. Ren put his phone in his pocket and turned to Minami with a smile, which makes her heart flutter. "Random guess. I know you're an anime fan and I wanted to take you to a movie you would like, so I took you to something that you're familiar with. Though, to be honest, I have been watching a bit of anime on the side...maybe a few seasons of the Psycho Pass anime so I wouldn't be lost when I took you to see this." Ren told her, scratching the back of his head. 'Wow. He did that...for me.' Minami thought as she blushed and looked at him. "Anyway, Minami, I'm gonna take you somewhere special. Follow me." Ren said and walked down the sidewalk. 'Special?' Minami thought as she followed Ren to wherever he was going.
-Namine's Cafe-
As soon as the two arrive at a certain building, Ren turns to Minami and hands her a blindfold. She was curious on why she was receiving this, but from the look on Ren's happy face, it was obvious that he wanted her to put it on. Minami puts the cloth over her eyes and Ren helps tying it so that it won't fall off. "Ok. No peaking or you won't get ice cream later." Ren told her and grabbed her hand, making Minami turn bright red as Ren brings her along into the building. 'We-We're holding hands!' was the thought that Minami couldn't get off her mind as Ren brought her up a few flight of stairs. Her curiosity of finding out where Ren was taking her and what was in the bag he was still holding was subdued by the warm hand that is grasping hers. It was a dream come true...even if she couldn't see it.
Minami hears Ren open a door and she also hears a few birds in the distance, so they must be on the rooftop. She could hear their footsteps against the concrete as they walked, but suddenly, they were walking on grass. The curiosity was coming back and she was wondering what rooftop has grass on it. At a random point, Ren stopped Minami from walking and he let go of hand, kinda making her pout and wanting to hold it again. She, then, picked up a few other footsteps and her curiosity was getting the best of her. All of a sudden, Ren grabbed hold of the blindfold and untied it, letting it fall for Minami to see...
"SURPRISE!" The maids and the butlers from the cafe yelled at her with smiles on their faces. Ren joined them, pointing up at a banner that said 'Happy Birthday, Minami' on it. Minami was completely shocked for two reasons: The first was that she wasn't expecting nothing like a surprise for her birthday, and the second thing was that...she had forgot that today was her birthday. A big smile came across her face and she ran and hugged the first person she saw: Yami. "You knew all along, didn't you?" She asked Yami. "Hehe. What can you say...I can keep a good secret to myself." "This is the first time you've actually kept a secret." Soujiro retorted at Yami. "If you're talking about the cupcake incident, you know that it was Erio who gossiped, not me." "Erio wasn't even there!"
As Yami and Soujiro argued, Minami walked up to Ren and hugged him. "You planned all this, didn't you?" "You know me well. Happy Birthday, Minami, and here's your present." Ren said and handed her the bag. Minami took it and was about to open it, but Ren stopped her before she could. "Open it when you get home. It'll ruin the surprise." He told her. She's been so curious about the contents of what this bag could hold, since it was very light, but she followed Ren's orders and kept it closed. "Now, let's have the birthday girl get her cake." Ren told everyone and her chocolate cake was brought out by her boss Miss Koneko. Minami was caught off guard by her boss, but ignored it and looked at her cake that already had candles lit on it. Everyone sang happy birthday to her and she blew the candles out...before they reignited. She blew again...the same happened. In the background, a certain boy was chuckling and Salali hit him upside the head. "Always wanted to do that." She said as she looked at Soujiro.
- Namine's Cafe-
"Hello, Namine's Cafe, and welcome to Neko Radio with your host...DJ...Neko...SOOOOOOUL! Our guest today is Chet9999. Chet, how are you today?"
"Good." He says. All of a sudden, Kuubey shows up. "Contract" He says before NekoSoul shoots him into oblivion. "Alright. I'm gona ask you two random questions." "Ok." Chet says. "Alright. First questions: Do you like Nekos?" "Yes, I like nekos. Especially neko boys and girls." "That's great. Second Question: How often do people throw birthday parties for you on your birthday?" "Um.... it's not a traditional birthday party, more like just going out to eat, so not that often." "Aw. That's the same for me as well. Though, my birthday is in December so...well, anyway, who do you wanna send a shoutout to?" "Nico." Chet says to the mic. "Oh yeah. That guy's awesome. Anyway, that's it for Neko Radio. We'll be back sooon!"
End of Story 1.
Hey, wait, did I forget something...
Oh yeah, the bag.
After the birthday party, Minami arrives home with many bags and wrapped gifts. She tries to open the door to her house, but the bags fall out of her hands. Before she started picking them up, her eyes look at the bag that Ren gave to her. Seeing as she was home, she didn't hesitate to sit on her porch and look in the bag. The first thing she pulls out is a card with a heart on it and the second is a red rose. Minami is stunned, then opens the card to find the words. "Minami, we need to talk. Come to the old park at midnight so we can talk...about us. Happy Birthday btw. Ren~" Minami's face grew hot and a smile crossed her face. She couldn't believe her eyes as the card fell out her hand. She quickly opened the door to her house, threw all the bags in, grabbed the note and rose, locked the door to her house, and took off to the park.

Chapter 2
Chapter 2
As soon as the clock turned from the rush hour of 12:59 pm to the afternoon hour of 1:00 pm, Minami ran to the back and changed out of her uniform into her nice spring clothes of a white mini dress and some shorts for underneath to avoid giving other guys fanservice. She grabbed her purse, punched out, and went out the back door of the cafe. She walked a couple of blocks to where her and Ren were to meet up and saw that he wasn't there yet, so she waited a bit. Her mind was wondering off to what place they may go to, the atmosphere in the air as Ren stutters to find the words to confess to her and for their true relationship to be.
After maybe 5 minutes, she spotted Ren, walking towards her with a smile and a wave. Minami's heart skipped a beat when she saw him, as it usually does when she's with him. They had be childhood friends since they were kids in Kindergarden and Ren has always been there for Minami. They are very best friends...but since 2 years ago, Minami has been looking for more than this 'Friend Stage'. She wanted a relationship with him...a romantic one at that, and she's just hoping Ren will confess to her today or she'll do it hereself.
"Hey, Minami. Thanks for passing up work for this."
"N-no problem. I wouldn't miss this for the world."
'I really wouldn't, even if the world was ending.' She thought to herself.
Ren laughed from Minami's comment and raised up the bag he was carrying. Minami's eyes had caught sight of that bag and her mind was still contemplating on what it could be.
"You're probably wondering why I have this bag, correct?"
Minami smiled at Ren's question, him guessing exactly what was on the top of Minami's mind at that very moment, besides Ren of course. 'What could it be? A dress? A type of jewelry? A...RING?!' Minami thought and turned red at the thought that Ren could skip over the whole relationship thing and want a marriage instead.
"Well, I won't reveal it quite yet, but I'm pretty sure you're gonna like it." Ren told her with a smile.
' No. It'd be too soon to get married! But...it wouldn't be a bad idea...a white dress, my friends from the cafe as my bride maidens with Yuna as my best woman, and my father walking my down the aisle to get married to Ren in a tux. But, what about after that? How will the kids look like? What would be their names? Len if a boy, Hikari if a girl. Heck, I want a boy and a girl!'
"Come on, let's go see that new Psycho-Pass movie that you've been begging to go see?"
Minami was brought back to reality with Ren's words and smiled as she's been wanting to see that movie since it came out. "H-Hai" She replied and walked beside him as they walked to the movie theater. Holding hands was completely out of the equation...for now.
=Namine's Cafe=
Minami's face was completely red as she sat in the dark movie theater with a bag of buttered popcorn on her lap. She was trying to pay attention to the action that was currently on screen, but kept thinking about Ren sitting right beside her. She wanted him to put his arm around her like most guys try to do, but he seems more into the movie than trying to take a chance.
"Baka." She whispered.
"Huh? Did you say something, Minami-chan?"
"N-No." She replied.
Her eyes then wondered over to the bag on the other side of Ren, on the floor. Her eyes narrowed on it, still thinking about what it possibly could be. If he didn't want to reveal it to her, it must be a gift for her...but what could he have bought for her that she's been wanting? Cosplay? Visual Novels? LINGERIE?! Minami's face became even more red from thinking of something so perverted. But, then again, guys do tend to be very perverted, so it's not that much of an impossibility.
"Wow! He's back!" Ren said, paying attention to the movie. She then remembered that she's been dying to watch this movie since it was announced in the summer, so Minami tried to focus on the movie, but, a few minutes after watching it, something crossed her mind and she sat there in complete confusion...she never told Ren about wanting to see this movie.
=Namine's Cafe=
"Hello, Namine's Cafe audience, and welcome to DJ Neko Sooooooooooul Radio. My guest at this time is MahiBlu. Hey, MahiBlu, how are you doing today?"
"Well, I'm tired as f*** to begin with." MahiBlu says with the censor catching the cuss word.
"Alright. Also, cool it with the cussing. Alright, First question: Do you just love nekos?"
"Nekos are love, Nekos are Life."
"Yes they are. Second Question: Who do you have a crush on in the cafe and why?"
"Uhh...no one."
"Then, who do you like the most here?"
"No one...really"
"Then, who do you want to send a shout out to?"
"Marvin, Luke, Tyronin, Pen, and Perdemot. Hey, guys!"
"And that's it from DJ Neko Soul. We'll catch you guys next time! And a special happy birthday to Winwinkle! NYAA!

Chapter 1
Chapter 1
The back door to a random building in the heart of Tokyo is unlocked by a mysterious girl in a hurry. When the door unlocks, she pushes the door inwards and rushes inside, making sure to close and lock the door back. She rushes through the dark hallway and turns a corner to find the door that she was looking for only a few feet away. She looks around before preceding and ran to the door with no hesitation and pulls down the handle. The door opens outward, allowing her access into a room full of lockers after she flicks the light switch up to make the room more visible. She tries to look for a name on one of the lockers...her name...and soon finds it after moving up and down the aisles. She opens it with a sigh of relief, but her heart drops when she sees the one person she didn't want to see- The manager.
"Uh...morning, Miss Koneko."
The girl tries to play off seeing the Manager in her locker, but the Manager has her eyes on a certain type of clothing in the girl's hand.
"Minami, mind telling me why you took your Maid outfit home...again?"
Koneko adjusted her glasses, looking into Minami's eyes with a cold and calculated expression on her face. Chills went down Minami's spine and she really wanted to avoid Koneko and return the outfit without getting caught.
"I recommend answering me when I'm speaking, Minami, or you'll lose that uniform...and your job."
"I-I just wanted to cosplay a bit with it by myself. Hehe."
She wanted to not tell the whole truth, but the manager could read her employee like a book.
"Oh. So it was for a guy, huh?"
"Eh?"
"Don't act so clueless, Minami. You probably sneaked it out yesterday, put it on, and probably had some'fun' with some boy from your high school. You naughty girl."
"W-Wait, it's not like that! I just wanted to take some pictures with it."
She was worrying that she was revealing too much of the truth, but it seems like the manager bought it.
"Well, next time, make sure to take your pictures INSIDE the cafe. We don't want to have this problem again, kay?"
"H-Hai!"
As the manager was getting out of the locker and leaving, a breath of relief escaped from Minami's mouth, but when the manager grabbed a certain part of the skirt of the outfit, she held her breath again.
'I thought I washed it out.'
"Also, next time...don't 'play' by yourself in this uniform. You're a long way away from perfecting how to wash certain substances out of this fabric."
With that, the manager left with Minami's face being bright red.
=Namine's Cafe=
As Minami was coming from the back with her outfit on, she saw one of her co-workers flipping the sign on the cafe's front door from 'Closed' to 'Open'. When she turned around, Minami read her nametag like usual- Yami. She walked towards Minami and put a hand on her shoulder.
"Did you get away with stealing the uniform yesterday?"
"Wha- how'd you know?"
"Minami, we're BFFs. I know everything about you...that, and I saw you trying to be sneaky yesterday. Even the manager saw you leave with it." Yami laughed.
'So, that's how she knew I took it.' She thought with a broken smile, then remembered something.
"Yami, I need you to switch shifts with me today."
Yami put a hand on her shoulder and sighed.
"It's Ren again, isn't it? Some afternoon date? Very romantic of him. I'm almost jealous." Yami said with an look of awe.
"No, it's not a date, but hopefully he confesses to me today." Minami told her as she held her own cheek and thought about him confessing. It was the sudden shake from Salali that brought Minami out of her fantasy.
"Hey, don't start daydreaming on the job. We still have work to do, ladies...and where's Soujiro?"
As soon as Salali said this, he came out of the back with his butler outfit.
"You rang, Salali-chan?" Soujiro said with a smug look, causing Salali to have a disgusted look.
"Stop looking at me. Some of your pervertedness might give me cancer."
"Wow. That's the most retarded tsundere comment I've heard behind 'Urusai, Urusai, Urusa-'" Before Soujiro could finish his comment, Salali shoved a few menu against his mouth, which he takes.
"Just shut up and do your job. Though, I'd prefer it if you did get fired and this place be Soujiro-free."
"Stop arguing you two." Minami said, getting in the middle of them both. The two turn around and go to different sides of the cafe.
"Well, looks like it's a normal day. Hehe." Minami awkwardly laugh as she holds a siver platter.
"Yeah. Anyway, I'll make sure to take over your afternoon shift for y-"
Minami hugs Yami before she finished, burying her face in her uniform.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You're a life saver!"
"But!"
"But?"
"You have to treat me to some McDonald's tomorrow on our day off."
"Ehhhhh?!"
"Take it or leave it.You're choice."
Yami crosses her arms and looks the other way. There was no way Minami was gonna skip on this hang out, so she had to take the deal.
"Alright. I'll treat you to anything you want there."
Yami looks back at Minami's 'I give up' expression and giggles.
"Perfect. Now, let's get to work." Yami suggested and the two get to some tables with orders needed to be taken.
=Namine Cafe=
"Heyo, Namine Cafe. My name is DJ Neko Soooooul and this is the first installment of Neko radio. Nya! Our first guest is a dude by the nickname of EliteShadow."
EliteShadow comes into the room and sits in the chair across from DJ Neko Soul.
"Thanks for coming. Now, you...are the first guest on Neko Radio. How are you feeling today."
"I feel great Soul. How are you?"
"I'm great. Now, I'm gonna ask you 2 questions and I want you to answer these for me. Are you good with that?"
"Absolutely. Fire away."
" Alright. First question: Do you like Nekos?"
"I love nekos! They're so cute and everything."
"That's fantastic. You can tell by the name that I like Nekos as well. The best pet a person can have. Alright, second question: What is your favorite thing about coming to the cafe?"
"Hmmm...The people are all fun and friendly I guess plus they all really easy to get along with...and I'd like to give a shout out to Himi."
"Well, that's great...and that's it for Neko Radio. We'll see you guys next time!"
